Indian Real Estate Market Sees 88% YoY Surge

Real estate investments in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region grew by 12% year-on-year, reaching $155.9 billion in 2024, according to a report by Colliers. India, within the APAC market, demonstrated robust growth, with the second half of 2024 witnessing an impressive 88% increase in investments, totaling $3 billion.

Colliers’ Asia Pacific Investment Insights H2 2024 report highlights that office assets remained the most attractive investment category, capturing 47% of the total investment, followed by industrial and logistics assets, which secured 27%.

Mumbai emerged as the top investment destination, drawing nearly half of the total investments in H2 2024, primarily driven by office asset acquisitions. Experts predict that this positive momentum will persist into 2025, fueled by favorable economic growth prospects and strong investment sentiment.

Badal Yagnik, CEO of Colliers India, noted the remarkable growth in institutional investments within the Indian real estate sector and expressed confidence in the continuation of this trend in 2025. He added, “With the expected continuation of monetary policy easing, including potential further reductions in the repo rate, liquidity is likely to improve, boosting transactional activity across real estate segments in 2025. A range of investment opportunities, coupled with proactive government policies, is expected to drive robust capital deployment across both core and non-core assets throughout 2025.”

Colliers India remains committed to delivering high-quality services that foster growth and development for individuals and industries across the country.
