Infosys Partners Anthropic to Build Enterprise-Grade AI Agents Across Industries

Infosys has announced a strategic collaboration with AI company Anthropic to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI across sectors such as telecom, financial services, manufacturing and software development. The initiative will begin with the telecom industry, supported by a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence focused on designing and deploying specialised AI agents for complex enterprise workflows.

The partnership aims to reshape enterprise operating models by combining Infosys’ domain expertise and engineering scale with Anthropic’s advanced AI capabilities. These AI agents are expected to handle high-value tasks such as claims processing, compliance reviews, risk analysis and automated code generation — moving beyond experimental AI into real-world business applications.

By integrating Infosys Topaz with Anthropic’s Claude platform and Agent SDK, organisations will be able to modernise legacy systems faster, reduce infrastructure upgrade costs and improve operational efficiency. In telecom, AI agents could streamline network operations and customer lifecycle management, while in financial services they may strengthen compliance automation and personalised engagement. Manufacturing firms are likely to benefit from AI-driven design simulations, and software teams can leverage Claude Code to accelerate development cycles.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei emphasised that deploying AI in regulated industries requires deep domain expertise — an area where Infosys’ global delivery model and sector knowledge play a crucial role. Infosys CEO Salil Parekh described the collaboration as a strategic step toward building intelligent, resilient and responsible enterprise ecosystems powered by AI.

The announcement comes at a time when Indian IT companies are rapidly aligning with AI-native partners to remain competitive in the evolving technology landscape. While recent AI launches have sparked concerns about disruption to traditional IT services, partnerships like this indicate that large IT firms are positioning themselves as key enablers of enterprise AI transformation rather than being displaced by it.
