Tata Motors experienced a notable decline in its electric vehicle (EV) sales in February 2025, while JSW MG Motor India saw impressive growth. Tata sold 3,825 electric passenger vehicles (PVs) in February 2025, a 25.6% year-on-year drop from 5,143 units in the same month last year, as per data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). The company’s EV lineup includes the Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, and Curvv.ev.
In contrast, JSW MG’s electric PV sales surged by 198.4% year-on-year to 3,270 units in February 2025, up from 1,096 units in February 2024. Its EV portfolio includes the Comet, Windsor, and ZS models.
Overall, the electric PV segment in India saw 8,968 units sold in February 2025, reflecting an 18.95% increase compared to the previous year. Electric PVs made up 3% of the total 3,03,398 passenger vehicles sold in India that month, according to FADA data.
