Chanakya View
Tonbo Imaging offers specialised exposure to defence electronics through thermal imaging, surveillance and targeting systems. Proprietary technology and international deployment strengthen its business credentials.
At Rs. 700, the issue values the company at approximately 78.83 times FY26 earnings, using supplied EPS of Rs. 8.88. On the same earnings basis, pre-issue and post-issue P/E remain identical because no fresh shares are issued. The valuation demands substantial earnings recovery.
Recent performance weakens investment comfort: annual income and profit declined, followed by a loss in the June quarter. Defence-sector enthusiasm cannot substitute for dependable profitability.
Chanakya Recommendation: 🔴 Avoid for conservative investors. Investors accepting higher risk May Apply after should assess order execution, cash collections and earnings visibility before committing capital.
