Tata Motors domestic sales rise 2% in March
Total domestic sales of homegrown auto major Tata Motors jumped 2% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to 90,822 units in March 2024 from 89,351 in March 2023, the company said in a BSE filing on Monday, April 1.
The total commercial vehicles (CV) demand remained muted as 42,262 units were sold in March 2024, recording a decline of 10% YoY, compared to 46,823 units sold in the same period of financial year 22-2023.
At 50,297 units, passenger vehicles outperformed others with a growth of 14% Y-o-Y in Q4 of FY24.
Tata Motors in an update said it expects demand for passenger cars to remain strong going forward, although the high base effect may keep the growth rate in single digit.
