Pride Hotels- India’s Fastestgrowing hotel chain is planning for an IPO
Pride Hotels Limited continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s fastest-growing hospitality chains, with Gujarat emerging as a key growth engine in its national expansion strategy. Promoted by S P Jain, the home-grown group is pursuing a capital-efficient, asset-light model focused on business, MICE, leisure, and pilgrimage destinations.
Founded in 1987 with its first hotel in Pune, Pride Hotels has evolved into a diversified domestic hospitality platform, currently operating 34 hotels across 32 cities with 2,723 keys under four brands—Pride Plaza, Pride Premier, Pride Elite, and Biznotel by Pride.
Gujarat has emerged as a strategic cluster for the group, driven by a strong corporate and industrial base, rising MICE and social events demand, and a well-established pilgrimage circuit. Pride Hotels already operates across Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Bharuch, Gandhinagar, Dwarka, Gir, Daman, Motera, Becharaji, and other key locations, underlining the state’s importance within its portfolio.
Pride Plaza Ahmedabad on SG Highway, launched in 2005, was among the earliest branded hotels in the corridor and today operates 176 keys with extensive F&B, banqueting, and wellness facilities. The recent additions of Biznotel by Pride, Motera and Pride Elite Gandhinagar further strengthen the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar region, making it Pride’s third hotel cluster in the market. As per the Horwath Industry Report, Pride Hotels ranks as the third-largest upscale hotel operator in Ahmedabad.
The group’s Gujarat expansion is backed by a strong pipeline of managed properties, including projects at Halol, Palitana, Veraval–Somnath, Himatnagar, Navsari, Anand, and Bhuj. Pride Hotels also plans to debut Pride Luxe, an upper-upscale experiential brand, with its first property planned in Gujarat.
With this pipeline, Pride Hotels is set to operate nearly 20 hotels in Gujarat, making it one of its most significant regional clusters. As of June 30, 2025, the group has 34 operational hotels and 32 hotels under signed agreements, reflecting a balanced mix of owned and managed assets.
Pride Hotels’ diversified portfolio—67% business, 18% leisure, and 15% pilgrimage—ensures year-round demand resilience. Supported by strong operating metrics and among the highest net profit margins in FY24 and FY25, the group continues to scale with discipline, positioning itself as a future-ready Indian hospitality platform.
