Borana Weaves IPO Guidance by Paresh Gordhandas, CA & Research Analyst.
Based in Surat, Gujarat, the Company is a seasoned textile manufacturer specializing in unbleached synthetic grey fabric — a highly adaptable material widely used across industries such as fashion, traditional and technical textiles, home décor, and interior design. This fabric primarily serves as a base for downstream processing like dyeing and printing. Alongside grey fabric, the Company also produces polyester textured yarn (PTY Yarn), created through the heating of polyester oriented yarn (POY Yarn), which is a key input in its fabric production process.
Financials & IPO Insight:
The Company has reported a sharp rise in net profits for the year. A thorough analysis of its balance sheet does not raise any red flags, suggesting the growth is genuine and not driven by financial manipulation. The IPO is being offered at a fair valuation, which adds to its appeal.
However, the issue size is extremely small, with just 10% reserved for retail investors. This limited availability is expected to result in significant oversubscription in both the retail and HNI segments. While this could drive up the cost of interest funding for leveraged investors, a strong listing gain is anticipated due to the demand-supply mismatch.
Verdict:
Given the clean financials, reasonable valuation, and strong demand outlook, this IPO presents a compelling opportunity — especially for those looking to capitalize on a likely listing pop. Apply.
