TCS second interim dividend

    IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced to pay second interim dividend and approve the quarterly earnings for second quarter of financial year 2024.

    The company in a regulatory filing said, “Tata Consultancy Services Limited has informed the Exchange about Board Meeting to be held on 11-Oct-2023 to consider and approve the Quarterly Audited Financial results of the Company for the period ended September 2023 and Dividend.”

    The company has also fixed the record date for the payment of the second interim dividend which has been fixed on October 19.

    “The second interim dividend, if declared, shall be paid to the equity shareholders of the company whose names appear on the Register of Members of the Company or in the records of the Depositories as beneficial owners of the shares as on Thursday, October 19, 2023, which is the Record Date fixed for the purpose,” the company informed the exchanges.

    Shares of TCS will likely trade ex-dividend on the day or a day before the record date. Shares of companies trade ex-dividend on the day of record date or a day before. When a company goes ex-dividend on a particular date, its stock does not carry the value of the next dividend payment.

    On Tuesday, TCS shares traded in red and fell nearly 1 per cent to quote at Rs 3,493.60 apiece on the NSE, at around 11 am.
